CI - Fiat Ducato
Hello Bill, thanks once again for your inquiry for VB semi air to suit your Fiat Ducato / CI Magis.
Below are the prices for the VB Semi air kit - Comfort version that includes the 12v compressor and dash mounted control panel, and the required TUV document to enable the vehicle masses to be increased.
The TUV document will allow your vehicle to have its GVM increased to 4000 kg and the rear axle mass limit to 2250 kg. The front axle weight limit remains unchanged (it is possible to increase this to 2000kg with a change in strut spring). Your tyres will need to have a minimum load rating of 113 / 1150 kg each to achieve the 2250 kg rear axle weight limit.
Are you alloy rims the usual factory fitted units as per the image below? I will need to check their rating, as I have conflicting information.
Currently I don't offer a fitting service, but looking at adding this in the future. The suggested fitting time is 4 hours, but I would allow a little extra time.
Once fitted the airbags would need to be certified by a Heavy Vehicle Certifier with category HVEC appointed by NZTA. Once certified I can then apply to NZTA for a new Chassis Rating at the higher weights.
