BORBET WHEELS

Established in 1881, German-based Borbet is a major supplier of wheels to many of Europe’s most prestigious marques.

Borbet has earned its place among the finest alloy wheel manufacturers in the world today. Out of the liquid flame of melted alloy, Borbet creates an aluminium alloy wheel of the highest quality. Before the wheel is finished it will have undergone the most extreme tests in quality assurance, guaranteeing a high quality wheel for your vehicle.

It started in 1962 when Peter Wilhelm Borbet, today’s president, began manufacturing sand-cast, gravity die-cast and also low-pressure die cast parts for many different industries. Then in 1977, Borbet began making light alloy wheels for cars and commercial vehicles. Today the company is specialising more and more in the development and manufacture of wheels – from design to production.

Its plant’s innovative technologies and environmentally friendly production, as well as those of their sister companies around the globe result in a total capacity to produce millions of wheels each year.

With a comprehensive quality assurance system and a staff of able and dedicated employees, Borbet has established a significant market position and was one of the first light alloy wheel manufacturers to be successfully certified according to the DIN ISO 9001 standard for its quality management system. Since that first certification, Borbet has earned ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management system as well as both ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 9001 certification for quality management.
