VB-CoilSpring for the Fiat Ducato/Peugeot Boxer/Citroën Jumper
As most motorhome owners already know, many motorhome manufacturers use the chassis of a Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer or Citroën Jumper (X250). The standard suspension system of the above vehicles is not fully suitable for use in motorhome construction. For this reason, modifying the suspension system is highly recommended.
VB-Airsuspension already has various solutions available for the X250: full air suspension for the front and/or rear axle, semi air suspension for the rear axle and reinforced springs for the front axle.
However, there have been an increasing number of requests for a “simpler” solution for the rear axle. VB-Airsuspension has listened carefully to its customers and developed a VB-CoilSpring for the rear axle of the X250.
The VB-CoilSpring supports the leaf springs on the rear axle of the vehicle. This solution is primarily suited to motorhomes that are always carrying a heavy load that barely changes.
A further advantage of the VB-CoilSpring is that the motorhome is lifted 2 to 3 cm from the springs, creating more spring travel. The “sagging” of the rear suspension is thus prevented.
VB Coil Springs can massively improve not just the ride but the handling characteristics of your leisure vehicle.
By using progressively wound coils they can help to reduce body roll in corners. Mounting reinforced coil springs is a non-adjustable solution for suspension problems. Reinforced springs will usually ensure that the vehicle returns to its original ride height( if not higher), thus increasing the suspension travel and improving stability.
